Cross Eyed - Beijing
On a visit to Beijing I created a project experimenting with placing hidden images in public spaces. I used an old optical illusion technique, placing hidden images on patterns of traditional Chinese flower paintings, then placed the patterns in public spaces around Beijing. The hidden images show recent and past democratic uprisings as well as logos and symbols of some of the things the Chinese government controls access to on the Internet.
Collage Panic - Beijing

Oknyeo-Bong - Gwangju
Installation made during the residency at the Gwangju Museum of Art, 2012. Oknyeo-bong, or Jade Maiden Peak, is a hill on the edge of Gwangju. In local folklore, a spirit there stole masculinity from men and empowered women.

Night Walk
A video installation using a lo-fi hologram effect. The space from another reality is recreated to scale. Mischievous figures walk around the space performing dangerous and unusual experiments.
Slow Push/Pushed
"The past should be altered by the present as much as the present is directed by the past." (T.S. Eliot) An interactive video installation using a blue screen. Two figures appear on the screen. One is the present and the other is the past. Through gentle manipulation they can touch, push and change each other's position on the screen. How do your past moves affect your present?
You Know Best
A video installation featuring a giant pink fort made of inflatable mattresses. The viewer meets the artist inside to watch a 4 minute video. At the end of the video the viewer's face appears on screen and tells them a story.
